What's the role?

 

As our Area Support Operations Co-Ordinator you will need to build strong relationships with all areas of the business and understand the relationship between the different Operational departments. 
You will report directly into the Capacity Manager in the maintenance of National field labour availability to accurately calculate, manage and monitor National Capacity requirements for our third-party Suppliers and the SMS contact Centre to book appointments against. 
You will be mmanaging Labour availability and Capacity Requirements is a key role for SMS to deliver on their Asset targets with all Suppliers. 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Gain and develop a full understanding of how meter operative capacity is calculated, monitored, and managed and apply this to the daily demands of the capacity role. 
  • Utilise the labour availability to make informed decisions when updating and uploading capacity requirements to the Capacity System.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure that Capacity is utilised fully and effectively, ensuring the workload does not exceed, nor recede capacity requirements based on labour availability. 
  • Work to improve and enhance the way in which Capacity is managed and utilised in the business.
  • Submit accurate and timely capacity reports and overview, as required. 
  • Monitor the capacity inbox and ensure effective communication via phone and email with team members, management and suppliers on all queries and requests. 
  • Ensure processes are always valued and followed, with a consistent approach to all tasks.

 

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Computer Literate, I.T skills.
  • Experience with Excel is essential.
  • Good geographical / logistical knowledge would be highly advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Customer Service Skills/ Customer driven attitude; prepared to take ownership of customer problems through to completion; demonstrate commitment to a satisfactory customer journey; able to build trust and confidence; polite and confident telephone manner.
  • Ability to manage workloads and prioritise workload effectively.
