.What's the role?

SMS plc provide a completely integrated service from beginning to end, from project managing the installation of the gas and/or electricity supply and connection through to the procurement, installation and management of the meter asset, data collection and on-going energy management solutions.  This breadth of service makes us completely unique in the industry. There are no other organisations in a position to be able to offer all of these services simultaneously, meaning that without SMS plc customers would need to use several different providers to cover their needs. An inspiring and focused leader is a necessity as the successful candidate will be working with a team of Operations Support Assistants in a fast paced, ever changing working environment with multiple priorities and targets.

Contractual hours per week: 40 hours per week, office hours Monday to Friday based at our Newmarket Office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Has a thorough working knowledge of the IFS system
  • Ensures all planned jobs are checked and efficiently dispatched by your team to maximise the amount of assets fitted on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and effective jeopardy management by your team to satisfy Industry SLA’s and maximise completion rates
  • Works closely with the Area Operations Support Manager to achieve performance targets, minimise GSOS and maximum completion
  • Highlights and acts on skill and behavioral gaps with quality feedback and coaching interactions to strengthen individual and team performance
  • Conducts monthly performance reviews to drive continual improvement in the Domestic Dispatch, Planning and Jeopardy Teams
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with Field Managers and other key stakeholders
  • Ensures all people metrics are managed including efficiencies, behaviors, and Company values

 

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Educated to O Level English and Maths or equivalent
  • The ability to build and maintain customer relationships to ensure customers delighted and future growth opportunities
  • Strong situational judgement and risk management skills
  • Curious about new ideas and able to translate them into viable plans
  • The natural ability to problem solve and will be able to react and resolve back-office issues in an ever-changing landscape
  • Experience in Supervises and plan team workload
