The Role

Reporting to the Head of Gas Connections , this is a newly created role to support the restructure of the existing Gas Connections Team.

The role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Gas Connections team sales targets. 

Due to the transitional nature of the business, flexibility to work in different areas will be required, particularly in customer queries.

Training on the Gas Connections process will be given as depending on the needs of the department you may have to take on project coordinator responsibilities. 

Work Schedule Details -  36.25 contractual hours per week , Monday to Friday office hours.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pushing and delivering upon customer sales
  • Closely monitoring, highlighting and applying for sales opportunities via tender portals
  • Managing of tender bids and updating SMS key stakeholders
  • Producing sales performance reporting
  • Handling any customer queries
  • Chasing all quoted works, understanding customer needs and overcoming objections
  • Carrying out market analysis and cascading the relevant information to key SMS stakeholders
  • Achieving set KPI’s re delivery and sales targets
  • Project Coordinating new applications from start to finish (Application, quotation, completion)
  • Liaising with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and managing all comms lines to the end consumer/supplier. 
  • Any additional requirements as requested by the Head of Gas Connections and Operations

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Previous sales experience required. 
  • Customer contracting and communications
  • Comfortable in working in a targeted sales environment
  • Dealing with difficult customers
