The Role
 
As part of the energy projects team you will be working on a project to install heating and cooling controls throughout a national hotel chain. You will be responsible for creating, issuing, filing and updating relevant project documentation to assist with the smooth running of the project. This role will involve regular lision with hotels, contractors and suppliers via phone and email to assist with scheduling and to resolve problems. Previous experience of coordination activities is essential for this role .
 
This is a fulltime permanent position . Working hours will be Monday to Friday between 8.30am - 5pm , 37.5 hours per week .
 
 
Typical Duties
 
  • Establish good working relationships with both internal & external customers
  • Organising site documentation into relevant folders
  • Performing an initial review of site surveys to assess whether they are likely to meet project payback criteria and to flag any requests made by the surveyor for further information
  • Ensuring that the project program is up to date and free of errors
  • Raising purchase orders and issuing authorised purchase orders to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Handling requests for offline room bookings
  • Compiling and sending out site information packs to hotels
  • Phoning hotels to inform them of works and checking hotels perspective of how the work is going
  • Liaising with contractor throughout installations to ensure works are progressing as scheduled
  • Managing handover documentation and filing of handover packs in relevant folders
  • Issuing post completion handover information (what to do if there is a lighting fault)
  • Reacting to installation faults / equipment faults and scheduling remedial works
 
Skills
 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages (especially EXCEL)
  • Able to organise and prioritise to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent problem solving skills are desirable  

Experience and Education​
 
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English is essential
  • Previous experience of coordination activities is essential
  • Energy, Construction or Hospitality Industry Knowledge is desirable
