SMS Plc provide a completely integrated service from beginning to end, from project managing the installation of the gas and/or electricity supply and connection through to the procurement, installation and management of the meter asset, data collection and on-going energy management solutions.

 

We are currently recruiting for Operations Support Assistant's within our office at Newmarket. 

 

Typical Duties

  • Ensure effective on the day coordination of engineers to achieve maximum outputs - such as absence, call outs, workloads and escalating any issues to have an impact on maximum output.
  • Ensure effective communication with engineers, regional operations manager, planning manager and head office by being open and honest and ensuring processes are followed always.
  • Ensure all jobs are assigned to the relevant engineers within designated regional / client areas
  • Ensure engineers' schedules are efficient and achievable and driving is kept to a minimum
  • Work with your line Manager to ensure capacity is utilized
  • Re-plan any jobs that the company no longer has capacity for and update the client on the changes
  • Re-plan any jobs impacted by holidays or sickness and update the client on the changes
  • Submit accurate and timely reports daily, detailing any jobs in jeopardy, aborts and any re-planned jobs
  • Ensure enquiries for the regional areas are answered within a reasonable time frame
  • Ensure engineers are aware of their daily schedules by assigning their work and communicating any specific requirements
  • Ensure equipment, meters and assists are in place to allow the job to go ahead
  • Ensure the effective day to day coordination of engineers ensuring engineers have departed for their jobs. Checking throughout the day that engineers are on target to achieve their daily schedule and closing any jobs throughout the day to ensure all jobs are either completed or aborted. Escalating any issues to the regional operations manager
 
Skills Required
