What's the role?
As the Service, Security & Change Office Lead you will be performing an important role in providing support to the IT Service, Information Security and Change functions.
You will work with the wider team to:
- Provide support and direction for effective Financial Management, ensuring there is transparency and control of costs across IT service, Information Security and Change functions
- Ensure effective Resource Management and Talent pipeline management across all related disciplines
- Ensure Reporting & Communications are produced as required, including driving proactive engagement with the wider business
- Ensure there are agreed ‘ways of working’ across the functions, and adherence to these agreed standards
Key responsibilities:
- Building a service model and service catalogue for IT service , allowing us to model the cost to deliver each IT service to the business – e.g., total cost to deliver the end user computing experience is £XXX per FTE
- Determining the cost for each scrum team, and reporting on what is capitalised versus Opex
- Developing the IT/Change and Infosec job families
- Working out the forward resource plan based upon change and growth within the IT service and change function by job family and maintaining this data ongoing
- Representing SMS in tech recruitment fairs/University/industry engagement events ref tech/digital recruitment
- Creation and management of standard reporting packs – Monthly Digital Steering Co, Quarterly IT Sub Committee
- Regulatory reporting – i.e. Infosec, business continuity returns, provision of evidence for 3rd party audit
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Relevant and sufficient plus good broad project/portfolio support experience
- Exposure to the full Change Lifecycle, with awareness of both Agile and Waterfall ways of working, and associated frameworks such as PRINCE, APM, Scrum, Safe etc
- A good understanding of the concepts of IT Service management – including exposure to models such as ITIL etc
- Awareness of the core concepts of Information Security
- Highly IT literate and proficient with the kind of applications commonly used in IT Service and Change, including JIRA, Sharepoint etc and similar platforms
- Experience in supporting the creation and maintenance of the agreed IT service, Infosec and Change Delivery frameworks, the management of these within the agreed repository and ongoing audit/assurance activities to ensure adherence
