Working within a team of data retrieval technicians, you will commission meters. Following the commissioning, you will monitor and ensure the timely and accurate retrieval of data from smart meters. You will also be required to prepare reports, statistics and documentation on SMS smart metering performance.
Typical Duties
- Follow existing procedures (remote fault resolution, etc.)
- Follow meter commissioning process
- Develop, document and implement new procedures to support business progression and growth
- Producing customer internal / external reports
- Maintaining customer SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Establishing good working relationships to support clients/ suppliers and service providers
- Support new business development activities
- Maintaining/ monitoring data retrieval systems
- Resolve data inconsistencies
- Data provision for internal departments
- Any other duties as required by team leader or manager
- To comply with all SMS plc Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
Your skill set should include:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office package
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Excel
- Able to organise and prioritise deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of staff
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Follows working procedures
- Knowledge of the utilities and smart metering industry is desirable
