​​​​​What's the role?
As the Metering Team Leader you will report into Operations Manager and will be required to manage the day-to-day operations of the back-office operational teams. 
This role will focus on customer metering appointments for our engineers, also includes provision of reporting that monitors overall productivity of the team and performance against business and customer expectations.  You will also encompass all personnel related matters.  
The role will also require an awareness of all metering related issues, both internal and external factors to further develop the business and will be responsible for all necessary support and training.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage overall day-to-day operations of the Metering team; work allocation, delivery of customer expectations & job outcomes, adapt to day to day changes in workloads & conduct 121s and team briefings.
  • Responsible for the coaching, support, training and all HR related duties for the operational team
  • Monitoring performance against target, assisting with escalations in a timely manner and organizing the priorities of team members.
  • Responsible for internal reporting to Operations Manager to reflect the performance of the coordinators and help to meet the business set KPI’s. 
  • To work closely with clients, field engineers & energy suppliers to ensure communication is open and to ensure consistent customer experience and continuity. 
  • Commercial awareness of current customers and new business within the Metering Dept.
  • Any other duties required by the Operations Manager

 

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Higher Education to A-level or Degree (or equivalent) - Desirable
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Math and English - Essential
  • Excellent numerical reasoning and problem solving
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages (especially Excel)
  • Able to organize and prioritise workload
