SMS Plc provide a completely integrated service from beginning to end, from project managing the installation of the gas and/or electricity supply and connection through to the procurement, installation and management of the meter asset, data collection and on-going energy management solutions.

 

A forward thinking, motivated and driven individual is required to plan, dispatch and jeopardy manage smart meter installations, working closely with field engineers to ensure completion.  The successful candidate will be working in a fast paced ever changing working environment with multiple priorities and targets.

 

Typical Duties

  • Effectively plan and assign installation records to the relevant engineers within designated regional/client areas.  Planning of engineer schedules should be achievable, and mileage should be kept to a minimum
  • Ensure all required equipment and stock is ordered and has been delivered to ensure the job can be completed
  • Proactively communicate with your allocated engineers to ensure they are aware of any specific requirements 
  • Efficiently dispatch your field resource to maximise the amount of assets fitted on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
  • Proactively jeopardy manage installations and field resource to satisfy industry SLAs and maximise completion rates Regular communication with field resource throughout the day to ensure you are aware of challenges that may impact completion of assigned jobs
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure non-technical aborts are avoided
  • Follow the abort process to ensure that any incomplete jobs are rescheduled and can be completed
  •  Follow all agreed processes to encourage a consistent approach to all tasks
  • Work closely with your Operations Support Team Leader and the Capacity Manager to ensure all available capacity is utilised
  • Submit accurate and timely reports to your Operations Team Leader as required
  • Work closely with other Operations Support Assistants and Team Leaders to share best practice
  • Continually strive to achieve performance targets, minimise GSOS and maximise completion
  • Positively engage with monthly performance reviews, coaching, feedback and any other developmental opportunities to ensure continual improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with field engineers and colleagues in the office
  • Seek to continually improve the way in which we work
  • Strive to deliver the future of smart energy in line with our company vision and values

 

Skills Required

  • Geographical knowledge  
  • Efficient and concise communication skills  
  • Ability to work as part of a high performing team    
  • Natural ability to problem solve and will be able to react and resolve back office issues in an ever-changing landscape
  • Ability to work well under pressure whilst constantly considering opportunity for improvement and development
  • Confident IT ability
