What's the role?

The Stock Administrator will be responsible for stock control duties within our warehouse to ensure data accuracy and quick turnarounds are maintained for all removed gas and electric meters to support our operations through multiple refurbishment avenues to maintain a consistent supply and demand into the field for our engineer network.
The successful candidate will hold a vital part at the heart of our logistics team to enable us to remain compliant with industry wide regulations and ensure we always have an accurate holding of stock within all warehouse and engineer locations.
In this role you will be working with the Logistics Stock team and report into the Reverse Asset Team Leader and will be required to liaise with our Operations, Transport and Asset Protection team as well as working with third party refurbishment providers and other meter asset owners to ensure all stock is returned to the correct location.

 

Working Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm on a 40 hours per week contract.

 

Key responsibilities:

•    Utilising the stock management system for stock movements and to maintain an accurate stock holding at all times.
•    Arranging inbound transport for sub-contractor and third-party returns.
•    Using Microsoft Excel for booking in meter returns, monitoring stock updates, performing stock movements and maintaining a detailed tracker of pallet records.
•    Working with third party owners and booking in for outbound collections and deliveries of third party owned meters.
•    Creating picking and removal lists for the warehouse, using information from various system sources.
•    Answering email queries from internal departments and external companies.
•    Ownership - checking meters once booked into the warehouse cross referencing serial numbers between systems and purchased asset spreadsheets.
•    Completing stock takes by doing data reconciliation.
•    Sending accurate ASNs for outbound and recons for inbound.
•    Assisting in managing busy group inboxes and picking up various queries.
•    Investigating stock discrepancies and resolving them in the system.
•    Creating ASNs and outbound paperwork for deliveries and collections.

 

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

•    Educated to GCSE level in Maths, English and ICT or equivalent.
•    Previous Stock Control/inventory experience - Desired.
•    Experience of using Dynamics 365 or similar WMS - Desired.
•    Strong Microsoft Excel skills - Desired.
•    Excellent attention to detail.
•    Proactive and confident to work on own initiative, as well as in a team.
•    Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and great relationship building skills.
•    The ability to multi-task and move seamlessly between complex tasks.
•    Excellent time management skills.
•    Process driven way of working and good data analysis skills.
