What's the role?

 

We are looking for a forward thinking, motivated and driven individual who will be required to support SMS engineers pairing and commissioning SMETS2 Smart meters whilst on-site. You will be liaising with multiple Energy Suppliers whilst using multiple internal and external systems to ensure first time SMETS2 commissioning success rates are high, and customers can enjoy the full benefits of SMETS2 Smart Meters. You will be working in a fast paced ever changing working environment with multiple priorities and targets.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Support engineers in commissioning SMETS2 Smart meter equipment over the phone whilst in customers properties.
  • Provide best advice to engineers based on knowledge-based tools and materials.
  • Remotely commission SMETS2 meters during and post installation.
  • Working exception reports to resolve issues and avoid unnecessary site visits.
  • Speaking to end consumers to remotely commission meters and in-home displays.
  • Liaising with Energy Suppliers to escalate and resolve issues during commissioning. 
  • Work closely with site support advisors and team leaders to share best practice.

 

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Utilities and SMETS2 Smart metering experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Confident communicating over the phone or electronically
  • An ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Natural ability to problem solve, react, and resolve issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
